Natural Beauty

This was a very interesting project. I really enjoyed it. I liked looking through art pieces and deciding what will fit with my theme and title. Although it was very difficult to pick a theme and topic and find piece to match it was fun to do so. It was like a puzzle that we created and had to put together. When doing my PowerPoint, I placed a brown background on it, which is what I would want the wall color to be. Natural to me means earthy tones, brown is an earthy tone. I also placed my pieces with similar subjects together. I have portraits/ people in the first slides. Then, it moves to animals followed by the one piece of fruit. To finish out the exhibit I chose the landscapes. They are so different but also similar. The videos we watched in the beginning of this project were interesting but I felt like I thought more about the gallery visits that I did. I thought about if i had walls how would I place the pieces on the walls. I did not want the pieces on the wall at the same height. I wanted them at staggered heights.  I believe this project could have been even more interesting if we actually had pieces and walls and could actually physically create an exhibit. I know what I want my exhibit to look like but I am not sure if I portrayed quite what I want through my PowerPoint. I am glad we get to see other students projects and had the discussion. It was really interesting to read what others wanted to do. There was direction with how to complete this project but it was up to us to create the whole design.
